Add on Garlic to your October shipment! Garlic is sold as a whole or half bulb - clove count may vary
Chesnok Red: A best-performing Purple Stripe garlic year after year. Chesnok Red holds shape and retains flavor when cooked. Great choice for baking with a creamy texture. Produces very large bulbs that average 9 to 10 easy to peel cloves. Originally from Shvelisi, Republic of Georgia.
Romanian Red: Brought to British Columbia from Romania. Cloves streaked and lined on buff brown background. Very good storage. Usually 4 to 5 cloves per bulb. Hot and pungent with a healthy, long lasting bite. An excellent alternative to Music.
California Early: Large, sometimes slightly flattened bulbs. Mostly 4 clove layers with 10 to 21 cloves per bulb, but 13 or 14 are common. Clove color tan or off white, often with pink blush. Not many small cloves. Better adapted to heat than Susanville but very vigorous and productive variety. Few stem bulbils. Mild flavor makes this one a good choice for eating raw or for those who prefer garlic flavor without the heat!
